Description: Tweaks to the default dark skin.

Just thought I’d share this with you. It’s nothing major but I’ve made a few tweaks to the default dark skin which have made me slightly happier with it.

These are:

- The attribute colours (and other general text colours)
- Made the right hand sided logo bigger
- Added a background (the one from the flex skin)
- Background logos are used throughout the game
- Large logos and background logos are used on the match screen
- Centralised the main text

Installation Instructions

1. Extract file to below folder, which by game default (you may need to create the skins folder if it doesn’t already exist):

Win Vista/7: C:\Users\\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2010\skins
Win 2000/XP: C:\Documents and Settings\\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2010\skins
Win 98/ME: C:\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2010\skins
Mac OS X: /Users//Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2010/skins

2. Go to “Load game > preferences menu > User Data Folder” if you can’t find your user data folder.

3. If the skin came as an “fmf file” you just need to put the fmf file into the skins folder.

4. Don’t add an extra folder to the layout if you happen to extract the skin.

5. To select the skin in game you will need to load the game first.

6. Next go to “Preferences > Display and Sound menu > Untick ‘Use Skin Cache’ > Tick ‘Always Reload Skin On Confirm’ > Press confirm.

7. On the same page, “Select the skin from the drop down menu > select confirm again”.

8. You should see your new skin

9. Optional: Once the skin is loaded you can turn the skin cache back on and untick the Always Reload button
